The MOFTI was shortlisted for the 20th Golden Archives Awards (Central Group)

The National Archives Administration, National Development Council announced the shortlist for the 20th Golden Archives Awards on May 18th. The Training Institute, Ministry of Finance (MOFTI) was shortlisted for a field review which will be conducted on July 3rd.
The Golden Archives Awards represent the highest honor for an agency’s archives management. It was established with the purpose of reconditioning outstanding performance via the  competition. The MOFTI under the leadership of the Director General and the cooperation of all staff achieve synergy effects. After passing the preliminary evaluation by the Ministry of Finance in March, the MOFTI was recommended to participate in the Golden Archives Awards. The MOFTI passed a written review and was affirmed on the shortlist. MOFTI will therefore continue to improve its management of documentation and promote the services of archives application to strive for glory.
Archives carry the past history and document records of an institution. The MOFTI, established more than half a century ago,has organized historical archives, precious photos, video records, and historical relics. MOFTI launched an archives exhibition on November 11, 2022, thereby exploring the process of cultivating financial talents, inheritance trajectory, and innovative development by presenting the process of its transformation over the past 50 years. The MOFTI invited the Minister of Finance and the heads of various agencies and units of the Ministry of Finance to visit this exhibition to help make this event truly spectacular. The display of precious archives and photos attracted local media coverage. The MOFTI arranged exhibition guides for participants on weekdays. A commemorative publication, including organizational history, chronicle of events, words of encouragement from successive Finance Ministers, Director Generals, lecturers, as well as selected precious photos and archives was published to increase the public’s affection. The MOFTI also made videos about interviewing several former and current Finance Ministers, Director Generals, lecturers, and outstanding participants. These videos reveal the process of moving archival records to the new repository. This special archival exhibition enables visitors from all parts of society to witness history and archival management performance, enhancing its historical value.
