RECENT DEVELOPMENTS SESSION
It is proposed that each member provide a short presentation (about 10-15 minutes) on recent developments in transfer pricing in their respective country/region. The content of the presentation would be expected to refer to matters from amongst the following range of issues:
Ø Legislative changes
Ø Litigation issues
Ø Audit projects
Ø Published policy / guidelines
Ø Update on APAs and MAP

ATTIRE

AIRPORT TRANSFER AND TRANSPORTATION
The port of entry to Chinese Taipei is Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Delegates are required to pay for their own international transportation. Local transportation will be provided by the host. Also, we will need details on the flight itinerary of delegates in order to arrange for the pick-up at the airport and the later return. The due date for the submission of flight itinerary will be announced in a later email.
APPLICATION FOR ENTRY VISA
A letter of invitation must be presented when applying for an entry visa to Chinese Taipei. Please make sure the entry visa is valid to cover the entire training period.
Note: Nationals from a number of members are eligible for visa-exempt entry to visit Chinese Taipei. The requirements prescribed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are as follows:

The venue of the meeting will be equipped for Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE
The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei accepts all major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diner’s, and JCB. We recommend that delegates change other currencies into NT dollars to pay for miscellaneous expenses. Currency exchange facilities and cash dispensers are available at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. The hotel offers a currency exchange service for Australian dollars, the Euro, Hong Kong dollars, Japanese Yen, Singapore dollars, and US dollars.
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is not permitted in the meeting room and only in designated areas of the hotel.

Please let us know as soon as possible if there are any special needs.
WEATHER AND CLIMATE CONDITIONS
The weather in September is hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 31°C and humidity near 77% in Taipei. During the meetings, appropriate clothing may include cotton clothes. Delegates are also recommended to bring along a light jacket for time in surroundings with strong air conditioning.
ELECTRICITY
The electricity in Chinese Taipei is 110 VAC/60Hz. The majority of electrical outlets in Taipei take a two-pronged plug.
