2020 Talent Cultivation Program (2020.08.28)

The human resources are the most important assets of an organization, while the efficiency of government is largely depended on the working capability of the civil servants.

 

In light of this, Ministry of Finance (MOF) has been holding the foster talent programs in the Training Institute (MOFTI) to cultivate the cross-functional and leadership competency for the middle and high-level senior officials. So far, 667 senior outstanding officials have participated this program since 2009.

 

This year, MOFTI is conducting the training program, including five consecutive Thursdays and Fridays from July 30 to Aug 28. There are 39 trainees from different affiliates of the MOF. The training courses would be focused on 6 major themes, including the lectures on sharing experience and guidance from the MOF principal officials, introduction for the fiscal policy and implementation, management competency, humanistic literacy, cases study and panel discussion. The instructors include the MOF Minister, Deputy Ministers, and the heads from the affiliates of the MOF. In addition, many well-known scholars and experts are also invited to give trainees on cross-disciplinary knowledge, and those core topics are covered from the taxation, customs, national property, national treasury, promotion of private participant, international fiscal affairs, and the latest development in public policies, etc.

 

This 10-day training program come to an end on Aug 28. Mr. Jain-Rong Su, Minister of Finance, host the closing ceremony and present awards to those outstanding participants.

 

The programs are the foundation of MOF talent cultivation, and they are the excellent backup to promote the future achievement of the policies. Furthermore, the MOFTI will continuously play the key role to conduct and enhance these training programs.
