3-Day International Taxation Seminar from April 23rd to 25th, 2018 (2018.04.20)

In order to strengthen international exchanges, cultivate taxation personnel, and assist our tax officers in cultivating a better understanding of international taxation trends, the Training Institute, Ministry of Finance (MOFTI) will hold  “2018 International Taxation Seminar” from April 23rd to 25th, 2018.

This Seminar has arranged four important topics:

1.  New Concept of Permanent Establishment.

2.  Taxation on Cross-Border Provision of Electronic Services by Non-resident Companies.

3.  New Article 29 Entitlement to Benefits.

4.  Taxation on Business Profits from Services and Royalities from Intangibles under Different E-commerce Models.

The MOFTI has invited Prof. Hans van den Hurk, a professor in the School of Law at the University of Maastricht, and Accountant Yi-shian Lin to give lectures on the abovementioned issues and share their knowledge and valuable experiences with the participants.  Besides, there will be a case study and panel discussion led by both of them.

The MOFTI mentioned further that holding this Seminar will enable our country to keep pace with global trends in order to promote international cooperation in tax matters.
