5-Day International Taxation Seminar from 10 to 14 April 2017 (2017.04.10)

In order to strengthen international exchanges, cultivate taxation personnel, and assist local tax officers to better understand views on transfer pricing and permanent establishment, the Training Institute, Ministry of Finance (MOFTI) is scheduled to hold a seminar “2017 Transfer Pricing and International Taxation Framework and in Practice- A Holistic View from the perspective of Direct and Indirect Tax” from 10thto 14th April, 2017.

In this seminar specific topics include:

1.  Transfer Pricing-Update on the latest development of OECD/EU/UN

2. Correlation between Transfer Pricing and Indirect tax (Customs & VAT)

3. Permanent Establishment - General introduction on the latest update of OECD/EU/UN

4. Identify Permanent Establishment, attribution of profit and taxation

5. Impact of Customs’ valuation on multinationals’ global Transfer Pricing policy

6. An update on the OECD withholding article and its impact on Transfer Pricing adjustment

7. Case study

This year, the MOFTI has invited Mr. Hans van den Hurk、Mr. Pim Gerritsen van der Hoop and Ms. Shih-Huei Cheng to come again to lecture on the abovementioned issues and share their knowledge and valuable experiences with local participants.

Mr. Hans van den Hurk is an international tax strategy specialist with Cygnus Tax BV. Since 2005, he has also worked as a professor in international and European tax law at the University of Maastricht. Mr. Pim Gerritsen van der Hoop joined Deloitte in January 2007 as a Transfer Pricing and Advance Pricing Agreement specialist. He had previously worked in the Transfer Pricing team of the Dutch Tax Authorities for more than 16 years. Ms. Shih-Huei Cheng is a senior manager with the Deloitte Global Transfer Pricing / Business Model Optimization (BMO) group with an overall responsibility for this area in Tax and Supply Chain optimization projects . She is a frequent speaker on transfer pricing, audit and restructuring subjects in seminar, conference and workshops.
  We believe that the holding of this Seminar will benefit our country greatly in the continuous reform of the tax system conducted by the MOF and further enable our country to keep pace with global trends in order to promote international cooperation in tax matters.
